Power Parenting ~ Onigum Session 2012

Sessions will be held every Tuesday from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. starting February 7 and ending on March 27, 2012. 

Topics are taught from a variety of Native American curricula from the Native American Training Institute, Native Wellness, and Positive Indian Parenting.  Also presented are materials from CSAP: the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention and the internationally recognized Olweus Bullying Prevention Program.  When possible, local elders and educators may be invited to speak to the Power Parenting topic of the day.

Saturdays: March 3, March 17, & April 21, 2012 @ 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Location: Leech Lake Early Childhood AOB Center, Cass Lake, MN

Topics include: Lessons of the Storyteller; Lessons of the Cradleboard; Harmony in Childrearing; Traditional Behavior Management; Praise & Choices in Traditional Parenting.
